Person with schizophrenia spectrum include functional disorders such as motivation and thinking due to disease、poor interpersonal relationships、 activity restrictions such as communication disorders. The obstacle is said to be accompanied by constraints of social participation. The research method semistructured group interviews with eight schizophrenics who use day service of specified nonprofitcorporation. The content of the interview analyzed and extracted the concept of independence considered by schizophrenics and the factors to achieve independence. 　The concept of independence of person with schizophrenia spectrum was analyzed by sex and housing type. As a result, in gender, men are "economy, labor and mental", women are "economy mental and daily life", and by type of residence, "economy and labor", in the case of single living, "economy · labor · Spirit ", in the living together with the family," labor · mental · daily life "result was obtained. As a factor for achieving independence of person with schizophrenia spectrum, "a relationship with people" was.
