When the strains were sown in May and June, the number of main stem leaves at harvest was higher in the May sowing, but there was no significant difference in root biomass. The effect of the pinch on growth and yield was examined and found that when the number of main stem leaves was the same, the pinch had a larger root biomass. However, the flower buds of A. manihot can be sold as a vegetable. From a management point of view, it is necessary to clarify the break-even point of the harvest: whether to harvest only the root parts or to harvest the flower buds as well, although the yield of the underground parts will be reduced. The obtained root was processed into ‘Neri’ and its viscosity was measured, and it was found that the viscosity was the same as that of the existing production areas, and that they could be used for practical purposes.
