| 内容記述 | This report discusses a team-teaching practice in the English Communication A course, where international students participated as teaching assistants. Students were divided into six groups of four, with teaching assistants overseeing two groups. This structure increased students’ opportunities to practice English and receive more input. Post-practice surveys indicated that many students responded positively, feeling an improvement in their English skills and increased motivation to learn. However, some students were hesitant to engage with the teaching assistants, and most questions posed were local and form-focused. Future improvements should focus on encouraging students to ask more global, meaning-focused questions regarding expression appropriateness, pragmatics, and logical structure. This will enhance the effectiveness of teaching assistants -specific support, beyond what is available through digital devices or dictionaries. While there are challenges and limitations for improvement, the students’ enthusiasm and positive engagement in the activities were particularly notable. Moving forward, I plan to continue these practices to enhance students’ English proficiency as a global lingua franca and promote lifelong, self-directed English learning, while fostering communication skills for interacting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. | |||||||
