| 内容記述 | This study investigated the effects of ball game tasks designed using an “internal simplification” approach on college students' mood. Internal simplification is a teaching approach that reduces primary tasks such as ball manipulation, enabling learners to allocate cognitive resources to secondary tasks such as situational awareness and role recognition. Twenty-two students participated in three types of ball games with different ball movement methods: carrying games (tag rugby-style), passing-receiving games (ultimate-style), and combined games (basketball-style). The Two-Dimensional Mood Scale-Short Term (TDMS-ST) was administered before and after each class, and the Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) was recorded. Eighteen students who attended at least 8 out of 9 classes with complete data were analyzed. Results showed that all three types of ball games significantly increased activation levels with large effect sizes (dz > 1.0). However, mood change patterns differed by game type. The carrying game significantly increased activation, stability, and pleasure (RPE: 12.2 ± 1.48), while the passing-receiving and combined games significantly increased activation and arousal but decreased stability (RPE: 15.2 ± 2.62 and 16.0 ± 2.79, respectively). These findings suggest that ball game tasks designed using an internal simplification can effectively improve mood regardless of exercise intensity. The results indicate that creating an accessible participation environment through instructional design may be a key factor in mood improvement. | |||||||||||||||||
