本研究では,中学生のコミュニケーション基礎スキルと学業成績との関連を検討した。とくに本研究では,教員への学習上の援助要請,教員からのソーシャルサポートに注目し, 基礎スキル→教員からのソーシャルサポート→教員への学習上の援助要請→学業成績というパスを想定した。中学生303名に対して質問紙調査を実施した。男女 別にパス解析を行った結果,以下の3点が明らかになった。(a)基礎スキルは教員との対人関係を介して,学業成績に影響を及ぼす。(b)基礎スキルのうち,意思伝達スキルは教員との対人関係全般に正の影響を及ぼす。(c)男女では,パスモデルがやや異なる。
