年生に対し、入学後のモチベーションの低下を防ぎ、医師のプロフェッショナリズムを意識させながら、能動的な学習姿勢を涵養する教育方法は、未だ確立されたものがない。本学では1 年次に「臨床医学入門」の授業を行なって、この問題への対応に努めているが、その一環として行われたワークショップ授業と教育効果について報告する。【対象と方法】1 年生を対象とし、平成21年度より開講している科目「臨床医学入門」の一環として6 月にワークショップを実施した。学生を小グループに分け、まず附属病院内の七夕飾りとして、患者・家族が願い事を書いた短冊を見せた。その後「患者さんの願いと医師が果たすべき役割」をテーマとして、KJ 法を用いてプロダクトを作成し、全員の前で発表した。更に自由記載形式のアンケートで、ワークショップの感想を記載してもらった。【結果】プロダクトにまとめられた学生たちの意見は、患者・家族の願いは想像以上に多様であり、また医師や医療に対する期待は大きく、切実な思いを痛感したとするものが多かった。アンケートでは、患者・家族の期待に応えるための努力の必要性、高い目的を持ち真剣に学ぼうとしている仲間への尊敬、グループワーク自体が将来のチーム医療の練習であるなど、医師を目指す上での認識を新たにしているものが多かった。【結論】1
