と中学校英語検定教科書とを,語彙の観点から比較することで望ましい小中連携の在り方を模索するものである。そのため,それぞれの高頻度動詞の語彙リストを作成し,コロケーションの比較を行った。結果,Hi, friends! には,現在形を使用した単純な英文が多いこと,児童にとって身近で限られた語彙を繰り返し使用していること,主に教室英語で用いられる動詞が高頻度で出現する傾向が観察された。一方,中学校検定教科書においては,現在形に加えて過去形や未来表現,さらには助動詞に後続する形などの多くのバリエーションをもって動詞が使用されていること,前の文に関連したまとまりのある英文が見られること,think やknow のように,名詞節を伴う複雑な構造を伴う形で動詞が用いられていることが観察された。上記から,Hi, friends!
