| 内容記述 | The status of health education in Germany (from an example of Niedersachsen) was surveyed in 2003 as part of a study of European countries. In Germany, health education is not a separate course, but integrated into other courses. Examples of courses (first grade through 13th grade) integrating health education information included fact-teaching, sport, biology and the others. Health education consists of six areas; nutrition, teeth and hygiene, drug abuse prevention, diseases, sex education and safety education. It is characteristic that the content of extra subjects, such as a part of "teeth and hygiene", safety education and sex education in Japan is included in subjects in Germany. That means combining intellectual and practical learning. In Germany, health education is considered essential and it is integrated into other courses with the underlying belief changing from the school is "a place for learning" to the school is "a place for life." |
