| 内容記述 | This study investigates how knowledgeable 5th and 6th grade elementary students are of body-related words and phrases. We can see that children’s knowledge and usage of body-related words has decreased in the last 13 years since 1990. We reason that one of the reasons for this decrease is the revision of the national curriculum, which now provides fewer opportunities to learn about the human body. In addition, children’s language environment has drastically changed in the 13 years since 1990. It seems that some body-related words no longer reflect the current lifestyles of children, so they have lost the ability to use such words. |
