| 内容記述 | Currently, there is no comparison of the Japan elementary school health education in grades 1-2 to health education in America. The purpose of this study is to examine health education in the United States, compared to Japan health instruction in the lower grades. In the United States, there are health instruction recommendations preschool through high school. Therefore, examining the U.S. health instruction program recommendations offers an opportunity to compare the recommendations to the Japan health education curriculum. This report compared and analyzed the U.S. National Health Education Standards（NHES） and nine modules of Health Education Curriculum Analysis Tool（ HECAT） with the Japanese health education curriculum. The analysis focused on the NHES Standard 1,‘ Students will comprehend concepts related to health promotion and disease prevention to enhance health’in K-2 compared to Japan’s health education in lower grades. The author also examined the contents and organization details of HealthSmart（ K-2）, ETR associates, based on the NHES and HECAT. |
