| 内容記述 | 本稿の目的は和紙の抄造に必要なネリの基原植物であるトロロアオイ（Abelmoschus manihot Medicus）の、津軽地方における作型を開発することにある。まず3 種類の系統を入手、発芽特性に系統間差異がみられたことから、より低温で発芽する系統を実験に供試した。この系統を5 月と6 月に播種したところ、収穫時の主茎葉数は5 月播種区で多かったものの、根生体重に有意な差はみられなかった。また既存産地で行われている摘蕾が生育・収量に及ぼす影響を検討したところ、主茎葉数が同じとき摘蕾区で根生体重が増加した。しかしトロロアオイはその花蕾を野菜として販売することができる。摘蕾して根のみを収穫物とするか、根の収量は落ちるものの花蕾も収穫物とするかどうか、経営的視点からはその損益分岐点を明らかにする必要がある。得られた根をネリに加工し、その粘度を計測したところ、既存産地のそれと変わらず、実用に耐えうることを明らかにした。また、コルク皮を除いた根を乾燥（黄蜀葵根）させてから冷凍貯蔵すると、長期にわたって保存できることが明らかとなり、これは従来のクレゾール浸漬法よりも安全な方法として期待できよう。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to develop a new crop system of Abelmoschus manihot Medicus in Tsugaru, which is the original plant of ‘Neri’, required for making Japanese paper. Since there were differences in germination characteristics among the three strains obtained, strains that germinated at lower temperatures were used in the experiment. When the strains were sown in May and June, the number of main stem leaves at harvest was higher in the May sowing, but there was no significant difference in root biomass. The effect of the pinch on growth and yield was examined and found that when the number of main stem leaves was the same, the pinch had a larger root biomass. However, the flower buds of A. manihot can be sold as a vegetable. From a management point of view, it is necessary to clarify the break-even point of the harvest: whether to harvest only the root parts or to harvest the flower buds as well, although the yield of the underground parts will be reduced. The obtained root was processed into ‘Neri’ and its viscosity was measured, and it was found that the viscosity was the same as that of the existing production areas, and that they could be used for practical purposes. The results also showed that the dried root without cork cortex can be preserved for a long period of time by freezing and storage, which is a safer method than the conventional cresol soaking method. |
